Sometimes, a little help can mean the world to someone carrying a lifetime of responsibility. She is an elderly widow and a mother who has spent years caring for her children despite the many challenges life has placed before her. Several of her children live with mental and developmental challenges, making daily life particularly difficult. As she grows older, the responsibility of caring for her family has become even more demanding. Thankfully, one of her daughters, who is mentally stable, is able to support her mother and help care for the family. When Nellynne Ark Foundation met this remarkable woman, we saw a mother who had carried so much for so long. We reached out with financial assistance to help ease some of the immediate burden and let her know that she and her family are not forgotten.
